I joined my first Shell Tanker in Dublin in 1956.She was the mv PATELLA official no 181581, built by Harland and Wolff in Belfast in 1946.tonnage was 12,398. Traded between Curacao and east coast of USA carrying bitumin. Would like to hear if anyone else on site has heard of this vessel. Master was capt Barnes, and the chief eng was WB Allison from Edinburgh. Best Wishes
